I’m not going to fight you on the alternative medicine angle, but I do have to say that this line is bullshit. If my mother would have just let her doctor’s talk down to her and believed it when they told her that she was just retaining water, she’d probably be dead from undiagnosed cancer right now. They’re people

Oh I’m sure he’ll get a few million dollars in gofundme contributions from overly-credulous #Resistance types regardless of how this all pans out.

actually, no, he deserves to be CONFRONTED AND REBUTTED AND DEBUNKED at every opportunity. it is EASIER to ignore them, but that just allows them to build momentum, confidence, and strength. labeling people like him “trolls” is also destructive and counterbproductive, because it allows you the out of assuming they’re

I have no doubt whatsoever that the world is a much better place without Alex Jones and his like having any sort of public platform, but like you I still feel very uneasy about any form of censorship even that of views and opinions as reprehensible as Jones’.

The idea that ignoring someone will make them disappear and the idea that fascists being no-platformed will lead to anyone else being no-platformed are both dumb as hell. Shut up, dummy.

I think any Frasier revival is going to suffer simply due to the absence of John Mahoney whose character provides a necessary down to earth contrast for what might otherwise be extremely unlikable characters.

The Spy Who Dumped Me is McKinnon’s best big-screen vehicle since 2016’s Ghostbusters

For all intensive purposes, we know what he meant, though.

THE A.V CLUB where you’ll routinely see white cis males deciding what is and isn’t offensive for the women and people of color they’ve chosen to so bravely protect”

It’s interesting that when this song came out, Jeopardy! had been off the air for several years. The Trebek hosted version came out later the same year and obviously was a huge hit. I think the show probably owes some of its success to the song. Also most of the Art Fleming hosted episodes were unfortunately erased

In the 1970's my dad, a career government employee who voted for the party opposite to the one in power, was accused of sexual harassment by a female employee, who was put up to it by my dad’s boss, for political reasons. The newspaper reported on her accusations with a lot of fanfare, but after the lengthy trial

Sorry, but unless you’ve been on the receiving end of a false allegation it’s easy to throw out statistics and minimise the impact of such things.
