I pretty much played DAO until I successfully romanced her, and then quit. That was 'beating the game' as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah that's how I felt about it. I like this big, epic high-fantasy RPGs in theory. But when I start getting into them, I find the fantasy worlds too generic and boring. If you want to get my attention these days you need a particular angle that is done really well, like the brooding darkness of Dark Souls, or the

Don't forget Binding of Isaac. I'm a bit worn out on rogue-likes these days, unless you count Darkest Dungeon, which has totally hooked me.

Following is pretty good, though I'll admit it's been awhile since I saw it as well. It also has a lot of the same feel as Memento…kind of a rough draft for that, minus the amnesia angle.

Chris Tucker might actually be my favorite part of the movie. Which feels wrong to say…maybe I should be ashamed.

Yeah it looks like Zathura without the board game angle, from the trailers. Or Agent Cody Banks in space.

I agree with pretty much all your cuts, and also liked Tauriel's presence, generally.

Yeah, there were about a dozen paths that it could have gone down that would have been terrible (not just for Ruth, but the show in general), and it chose absolutely the best one.

Usually I'm impatient to get on with the wrestling, but this episode was a really nice step back after the heights of episode 7. The roller skating party was fabulous, and while I was super-prepared to hate the pregnancy plot line, the show handled it really gracefully. Instead of going into SUPER DRAMATIC territory,

Yeah, Sam lays out a checklist of everything the producer needs to supply for the show. Then Bash cobbles it all together in the cheapest way possible, since he's cut off.

This was the episode I've been waiting SO LONG for (well, 6 episodes at least), and it was glorious. I can't believe how much they were able to pack in…the training, the lackluster setup thanks to Bash, the GLOW rap, the KKK battle, and of course the main draw fight. Ruth kicking open the door in full Zoya gear with

Right now, my favorites are Ruth, Carmen, and Rhonda, with honorable mentions for Sheila and Sam, because they both get some of the best one-liners. Also props to the rich producer guy for being likable and against-stereotype.

It really does…I'm not much of a binge watcher, but I can't hold off from about 3 episodes at a time. This is definitely a show that could benefit from a hybrid comedy-drama run time of like 40 minutes per ep.

I never really liked Maron that much before this show, but man has he nailed his line deliveries in every single episode. The irony line had me laughing out loud.

Weird violence, eh? So does that mean Cars 2 is something we can revisit in 30 years for a cool thinkpiece?

Considering how much of this season so far has been setup, it really needs more seasons. I was really excited to see wrestling on this show, and so far there's been virtually none. When are we going to get to the wrestling factory?!

If you think about, both seasons make up a reaaally long episode of Law & Order.

Two weeks off now…watch some Blue Velvet (available on Prime) or Mulholland Drive (Netflix)!

I played LOTRO a bit recently too (you're not in the MMO Book Club are you?)… agree that it looks NOT BAD for such an old game, though I had huuuge frame hits in Bree that I don't think was my PC's fault.

I know a lot of people scoff at it, but I really like his song scene in early S2.
