I don't think any of the characters are very equivalent, though the brother-sister team has a bit of a rimmer/lister vibe. Also, either Tina or the computer have a bit of the Cat's cluelessness/vanity.

That was epic….hoo boy, I need a cigarette after that comment.

Well you certainly can't END a band name with a preposition, or at least I think that's what they taught us in grammar school.

Yeah, same here! I know that I like a ton of tracks from it, but when I look at the song titles, I'm like "what was Eros's Entropic Tundra again?" Then I listen to it, and it all clicks and I fall in love all over again.

I've been a huge False Priest fan since it's release, and it hasn't gotten old. It might be his most over-produced album, but the songwriting is there in spades (except for Sex Karma, and a few tracks towards the end).

Grotesque is an 11 minute track that I don't think I've ever failed to listen to through the end once it's come on. I don't know if I can even say that about most 3 minute tracks…

Wow, I didn't know he had transitioned into film soundtracks. His Fez soundtrack (as Disasterpiece) is one of my favorite things ever.

Lt. Daniels for me.

Aside from the baldness, you make Picard sound like Jesus. And I'm very ok with this.

Yeah, it was a scene that stood out to me for feeling fake…in a movie that I otherwise loved every moment of. I picked up a bit of a racist/white-savior type vibe from it, but was mostly bothered by the artificiality.

If you read between the lines of his comment, using the context of the article, I think he's implying that it's a good place to eat BECAUSE you're being served by latinos who you have inspired in the distant past.

Reply to self from two years in the future: it looks like the original versions have successfully usurped power from the remasters, so the default DVD versions are the good ones! (Grumble grumble, Star Wars etc)

Definitely echo others that suggest False Priest. I'd say it's about 2/3 of a fantastic album, with a back 1/3 that kind of sags. But it's in that accessible, funky vein of Sunlandic and the others you mentioned.

I'm pretty sure the only person hating on the female Ghostbusters is Dan Akyroyd.

On first listen, I thought this sounded most similar to Skeletal, what with all the sudden stops and shifts. I'm liking it better than anything since False Priest, though.

Eh, all three of those are great in my book. I think Sunlandic Twins is pretty underrated.

Saw them live a few years back, and it was so good that they even made the Paralytic Stalks songs sound genius.

S5 of the Wire isn't like other shows that let you down in their final seasons. It merely wasn't as perfect as Seasons 1-4. And that imperfection is limited to only some of the plots (McNulty, the newspaper stuff). Everything else in the season is freaking glorious… seriously, if you have any interest in characters

Couldn't hear any of the dialogue for several minutes after that joke…the theater was just roaring.
