@coldgottobe you sound like my doppleganger. i used to thrift like crazy, at crossroads/red light/atlas among other places. no longer, though. also with the having of kids. i don't thrift shop for them, though, because kids clothes always seem too grimy and worn out. they go apeshit if i ever take them to the toys…
i think he kind of missed the point too (or i did)…the song isn't making fun of thrift shopping, it's celebrating it.
@kamikazepig oh wow, i'm loving that beatles comparison. dostoevksy and lennon dfeinitely have that ragged edginess about them…while still remaining accessible.
wtf is dubstep lol
that girl on fire song is so ripe for parody or commerical knockoffs. just sing "this _________ is on fire" with a lot of emotion, and it works every time
which thrift store…a seattle one?
I hate Macklemore generally (his songs are way too sappy), but this song is great. I don't know what's wrong with stephen, but his whole blurb reeked of condescension and hating fun. oh well

I'm excited, both because of Jones and because WOW (which I have never played) seems like a cool property.
true, movies like playing the field aren't nearly as complex or well made
as someone who never passes up a chance to reference the GK/Ghostbusters debacle in the comments… twitter/facebook harassment is some lame ass shit. those people should be ashamed.
keep them even, GOD DAMNIT!
quick, add this as the forward!!
film critics need to adopt a system similar to many gaming website…review different aspects of the movie and also give an overall grade. Like:
your comment made me think of that dad in High Fidelity who's trying to buy "I Just Called to Say I Love You" for his daugher.
I really like the spruced up synthesizer version of the theme from his era. it was "80s" enough without being downright corny, unlike the McCoy version
i really thought it was girls singing. but that must be one of those boys/puberty things.
