either way…i have a bad feeling about this

u crazy?

I actually wouldn't start with the greatest hits, since it mixes so many periods of their career. I imagine it could be pretty disorienting to new listeners.

"bleak and disturbing"

well, the subject of the article was not Frank Ocean…it was premature coronations, with Frank Ocean being the most recent example.

agreed…i loved this article (possibly, because I still haven't actually listened to Frank Ocean, and thus can't be upset by it). I think Murray went out of his way not to sound contrarian while brining up important points about music criticism and overhyping.

dude…..it'd be worth it

holy shit, you all were jaded kids.

holy shit, you all were jaded kids.

holy shit, you all were jaded kids.

yeah, but what if we don't really listen to them that much anymore?

you're old…don't worry about hipsters, because you'll never "get" them anyway at this point.

there may or may not be a causation link here

conclusion: everyone likes the Orphanage (well, almost everyone) and rightfully so.

doesn't help that this film has the most generic name possible. if you're casting arnold in a movie, everything about it should be commically ludicrous, especially the title.

Kings of the Wild Frontier, if I remember correctly, is actually pretty good front-to-back. But yeah, as with most guilty pleasure bands, it's best to savor the peaks and ignore all the rest.

eh…i liked it, and i'm not a huge fan of portlandia lately.

agreed.  this movie is much better than its reputation suggests. I totally understand why it was a flop though… if it was marketed as another Star Wars, it's clearly more in the 2001/ST: TMP realm.

this review is total BS. I loved the movie as a kid and bought into all the merchandising and then promptly forgot about it. But then I watched it today with my daughter, having almost no memory of it aside from the creepy robots. Holy fuck, it was pretty good…especially the Dante's Infernoesque ending.

that's an awful high standard to hold other songs to.
