too bad all the sex scenes with Morena Baccarin were completely depressing and weird :/

I thought the best part of the Homeland season was how awesomely they stuck the landing. The climactic scenes with Damian Lewis in the bunker were so suspenseful, I almost shit myself

eh…I'd put Homeland above Breaking Bad S4 or 5 (whichever they are using for the award) and GoT. Haven't stayed current on Mad Men.

Yeah Color Purple got robbed, even if it was obvious Oscar Bait. I guess Spielberg didn't have the formula down yet…probably also didn't help that he was a white man making a film about black women.

This is another movie i remember absolutely nothing about…I saw it because I was on an "kevin spacey is cool" kick after Glengarry Glennross/American Beauty/Usual Suspects…and holy fuck it was boring.

I remember not hating Memoirs…but now, try as hard as I can to think about it…I can't remember a single other thing

I'd have to rewatch, but even that I wouldn't call atrocious…at least there were creepy dolls. My least favorite so far is probably Hungry Earth/Cold Blooded or whatever it was called.

I don't think Smith is the problem at all…he can do gravitas and he can do wacky. I'm 100% sold on him. The scriptwriters just haven't stepped up to deliver A-material yet. Which is fine with me, since the B+ material they have been churning out since S5 is much better than the A to D swings we had during Tennant's

just rewatched S1, and it is pretty decent. The main problem is the cinematography/sfx…as someone above said, it really looks like a soap opera at times because the lighting is so diffuse. but overall, the stories are as good as any Tenant season, and there aren't any horrifically bad episodes. heck, the weakest

So totally agree…I've been thinking about this a lot lately, actually.  11 is by far my favorite new-who doctor, and yet his seasons have very few near-perfect episodes. Tennant and Eccelston, however, have a handful of impeccable classics between them (mostly all written by Moffat).
