Anyone else notice how the special effects this season have been really stellar? I remember they took a budget cut for S5 and presumably it extended through S6. But maybe because of the increased Who popularity, it seems like they got a serious upgrade in CGI (and prosthetic effects too)

Obviously in the future, the USA will be wiped out by idiocy and NASA will no longer exist. so i fully expect all space control to be handled by the indians and the chinese.

as soon as they introduced the big game hunter, i was waiting for his JP-esque showdown with raptors. i think that was the entire reason he was added to the gang

I laughed pretty continuously throughout the entire episode. For having such a big "gang," just about everyone got to fire off some choice lines.

42>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Hungry Earth/Cold Blood. really didn't like those

which also featured a pterodactyl! coincidence?

easily the most FUN episode of Doctor Who i've ever seen. I'd give it a B+ because I agree that some of the roaming of the spaceship was a bit pedestrian (pun!) but everything was livened up by incredible dialogue

thank god… he was easily the best part of this episode full of a lot of other best parts

farting aliens actually took up 3 episodes of the 9th doctor's run, which shockingly is like 25% of his material. so yeah…

i got sucke dinto the Star Wars CCG at the end of my Magic phase too… I wouldn't say the game is flat out terrible. it's not as intuitive as magic, but it has the bonus of sweet star wars characters and locations. the problem is, if you want an actual character from the movies that you recognize you have to fork over

3rd/4th edition had a great balance between reall powerful, but not too cheap (unlike the early power cards). So you had great spells like dark ritual/counterspell/giant growth/lightning bolt (white kinda got screwed) that could quickly turn the tide in a game, but they were common, so everyone had them, and they

DID YOU GRAB THEM? That was my secret fantasy as a kid…stumbling across a discard cache of (first baseball, then) magic cards.
