This was first thought as well. I’ve seen one Icelandic movie, Jar City, and one TV show, Trapped. Both were outstanding and extremely well acted. I especially enjoyed Olafur Olafsson and its nice to see he has a world wide resume of work and stands out in all of them. She could have remained on the production end and

Math doesn’t appear to be your forte so I’ll go slow. Doug Jones got 49.9% of the vote, about 30% were white people, are you still with me. That’s means we can only “thank” 14% of white voters, but I’ll leave that to you since your doing such a good job already.

I’ve liked some of his other films which is why I watched this one, but knowing that it failed both as a driving movie and as a “musical” makes it even worse some how

Thanks, looks like they’ve been cloning people all day. When they find out I’m actually a black woman I don’t how much that Hitler stuff will fly though.

Lol my first thought was that this is definitely how Single White Female went.

It was as much about the music as say Guardians of The Galaxy. But what worked well in the first Guardians, was just a meh side plot in Baby Driver.

Exactly, they were obviously friends who were biting off of each other. Whats more believable: They went on a trip together and one posted before the other (7days) or one saw the picture, bought a ticket to CA, and found the exact same mural to take a picture in front of for the likes.

I was underwhelmed too. The driving stunts weren’t bad but it wasn’t even close to some of the best driving movies which was weird given that it was the central conceit. My favorite driving\heist movie is still Ronin, and favorite stunt chase scene is The French Connection, Baby Driver was kind of forgettable.

Lol it’s definitely pictures of him with longer hair that clinched it for me too.

Very much a hold my beer moment.

It makes sense that Reed et al would delay the vote for that reason, but there were ajc articles about pushing the vote up as well.

Emory University is in Dekalb county and they recently were approved for annexation into Atlanta. They tried to rush the annexation in an attempt to add 2,500 new voters from that area to this mayoral election (63% white, 22% Asian, 11% black). The addition of these voters were blocked because Dekalb hadn’t approved

white dudes who, as a group, are far worse.

It is a Bridget Fonda movie, but Byrne is also in the film and he plays the character comparable to Tcheky Karyo’s character in La Femme Nikita.

If you go on IMDB and hover over Byrne’s picture in the search it says “Actor, The Usual Suspects”.

Now playing

They are both excellent movies for very different reasons, but Miller’s Crossing doesn’t even come close to level of cultural significance and recognition that Usual Suspects has. John Turturro goes toe to toe with Byrne in Miller’s Crossing, and it’s not even his most famous film.

It’s fine to discuss double standards in the vein of seeking equitable treatment for people of color, but when that equitable treatment consists of essentially ignoring or rewarding poor behavior I will remain team no-one.

Well Josephine Baker was a singer and performer and she was also a spy for US/France during WWII. So even when graded on a curve...

It really is surprisingly good and one of the better Suspense/Thrillers movies I’ve seen.

Check out A Time to Kill or Frailty (even Reign of Fire which also has a Christian Bale for a bonus). He may have done some not so great movies for money, but one adjective I’d never use to describe him as an actor is boring.
