That material is gorgeous. I agree about the shoes there is nothing about that outfit that calls for black shoes.

You’d look awesome. The secret to mixed patterns is that only one color in each garment has to “go together” and voila.

The sad thing is the cut/color arn’t bad. If she tweaked just a few things like different shoes/shirt, pull up the pants a bit, and open the button she could have pulled it off.
