I think this person doesn’t understand what Deadspin’s position really is. Giving massive contracts to players already leaving their primes is bad. Not giving ANY contracts to guys who still have value (often quite a bit of value) is ALSO bad.

Sometimes the barcode looks perfectly fine, but has just enough damage so that it doesn’t scan. Sometimes the barcode is completely fine, but the scanner is dirty and so it doesn’t scan. Sometimes the barcode is printed incorrectly for the scanner the store is using, but it wasn’t caught when the items were stocked…

Yeah, I didn’t get that close. I was in the heart of the pit for most of the show. Got an elbow to the sternum at one point (it wasn’t intentional on their part) and had a massive bruise on my chest for like a week.
