I should have seen them at Riot Fest. I wanted to, but Beach Slang was on as we entered, so we checked them out and then became transfixed.
How can they even tell? I’ve been there and it’s a crappy excuse for a city.
I don’t know why the blurb for Cap’n Jazz left out the best parts of the set:

My contenders for album of the year are this, Science Fiction, Sleeping Through the War by All Them Witches, and DAMN. That said, I think Converge’s The Dusk In Us is going to be a monster record that will blow everyone out of the water.

I concur with this opinion. They’re thematically pretty similar, but this one is like looking back on past events and seeing them in a different light.

They’re playing Riot Fest in Chicago, but that’s it. Maybe their only show for a long time. Who knows if they’ll tour again.

Just saw them. So. Freaking. Good. Like I already really liked their music, but they are on another level live.
