My favorite Cure song:
Nice. I preordered one with the new album, so I’m just waiting now.
Went to the record store today. Got some Converge’s Jane Doe and Axe to Fall. Here’s live renditions of “Concubine” (from Jane) and “Dark Horse” (from Axe).
I just saw well wishes from Duane “The Geode” Ericson and The Steel Maharaja.
Deftones are one of my top 10 bands. In my opinion, they (like Queens of the Stone Age) have never made a bad album (the self-titled and Saturday Night Wrist are comparatively weak, but not outright bad).
Being sick anthem right here:
Dang. I should have read the comments today before commenting. Grilled cheeses are the best and unless you’re dangerously low on groceries, you have all the ingredients on any given night.
Grilled cheese sandwich.
I wasn’t really a kid (I was in high school), but my answer is Ryan Freel. It sucks because I know that his appeal was probably the reason he died.
So like Depeche Mode is like one of the best live bands of all time...
I think they also have a side gig as a ska band.
I’m not at all mad that was the first full boxing match I’ve ever watched. I knew it would end like this, but Connor made it interesting.
I also really like album cut “Til Death Do Us Part”.
Why did they keep the part of the song where Kanye keeps saying “Chi-city”? Does the UK basketball program prevent them from having sound editing classes?
Gotta love Waits.
OK, so I think it’s pretty clear that “Like a Prayer” is Madonna’s best song overall. The song is killer thematically, is excellent from a musical standpoint, has left a legacy even outside of the song itself, and is fun to dance/sing/whatever to.
So now that I got the Quicksand share out of the way, I have to say that I love the new Brand New album. Super good.
I actually let out a quiet “on, no” after reading the headline. This is so, so bad.
