Love the small details that add up to a significant decision. Driving your hot tires through the marbles to pick up weight? Hilarious. Should there be a 1 KG buffer above and below the minimum weight? Maybe.  

It’s simple. Merc was either unaware of how close they were to the weight limit or miscalculated how much weight was being lost to the tires on an extended one-stop.

As much as I think the application kinda sucks here, F1 has been consistent about disqualifying out of compliance cars.  Hell of a race and gutsy choice by Russell.  I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see it more often and the Pirellis generally seem to be holding up much longer than expected for the people that stay…
