Trump’s administration never has any sort of actual answer for their terrible behavior. All they have is deflection to the (possible) wrongdoing of others. It was called “whataboutism” when it was Soviet/Russian propaganda.

I’m sure Trump would find nothing offensive about the two hypothetical examples you bring up.

It’s called “Whataboutism” and it’s a much used deflection tool in this administration.

I’m an aggressive person by nature but I’ve really tried to chill the fuck out these past five years and this administration is making me want to fucking hit things daily.

Oh god that would be heartbreaking. Never let us down, Seth!

I think the snark in this article is more on Forbes for calling him the “feminist” choice than on Seth Meyers, who is just fine and certainly better than Ricky Gervais or Jimmy Fallon. I agree, Seth will probably be good at this. Also, Get Out is almost certainly going to win its category this year so it will probably

And Star-Lord.... hmmm, good distinction! I always thought Chris Pratt is a good guy, I guess I’ve never really paid much attention to him outside of his roles though, one way or the other.

If Amber Ruffin and Jenny Hagel get to cohost I will be 100% on board!!

Now playing

I come here for the snark but sometimes it is uncalled for and over the top. Seth Meyers has consistently been one of the bright spots of late night, and he often gives space to people other than white men to shine. We could do a lot worse than him as an award show host. Amber Ruffin on “Amber Says What” is a goddamn

I thought we liked Pratt?

“… make fucking sure your Democratic friends get off their ass and vote in 2018.”
There I fixed that typo for you.

What I want to know is did we really need his opinion? That Trump thinks his shit doesn’t stink when this trial is looming in his further shows how little foresight he has.

He wont lose a single voter over sexual misconduct so this wont even move the meter. Anyone that voted Trump that was so desperate to vote against Hilary will never change their mind.

Also, the odious Roger Stone was tweeting about this last night, saying it was Franken’s time in the barrel. Why did he get a head’s up?

Oh, yes. The fact that she works for Sean Hannity leads me to want a little more evidence that he kissed her unwontedly.

I think if this were Paul Ryan or Mitch McConnell I’d be equally nonplussed. Miming a boobhonk 10 years ago is immature and sophomoric, but hardly a reason for anyone to resign.

And Roger Stone announced on Twitter at 1 AM this morning that something about Franken was going to hit.

And I’ve seen news reports that contradict this article. That he did not touch her breasts, just put his hands near them and did not touch them. It’s still a jerk thing to do, but that’s not sexual assault (harassment, sure, but not assault).

Not exactly a secret stash of photos that she wouldn’t know about.

Sure. But calling for his resignation over it is completely idiotic. It’s falling into the trap set by the right that this clearly is. Franken has handled this with more class and dignity than it warrants, quite frankly, and the Left Wing Internet Outrage Machine needs to put their pitchforks back in the barn.
