Yes! I can’t express how good it is to hear & see how damn many of us are out there doing this, working for our democracy. I’m grateful for the Slot for the forum we have here to connect with folks from all over, reading, commenting, and fighting the good fight together. 😘

The “south” is a lot more diverse than Deliverence would suggest (take it from me! Ive lived for 20+ years in the very town/county where they shot much of that film & tons of folks are still pretty…

But I hope, the history books will also tell of how the American people fought it. How this administration’s horrible actions led to public outcry that far surpassed the Tea Party’s right wing insurrection.

From driving thru the flyover states, it certainly looks an awful lot like Someone out there cares about the environment & growing the renewables industry here in the US- its wind-power all over the place! So maybe more of those guys see how this benefits us economically than you’d think?

Good point! I’m up in western NC & have MANY a red-neck, country, Christian friend that cares deeply about racial inequality, LGBQT issues, the environment & a host of issues folks believe are only supported by the “coastal/urban” Americans.

And, in the mean time keep calling our MOCs whether they are far-right Conservative or doing-everything-right Progressives, as often as we can to keep the pressure ON. Right now we have a terrible budget to object to, Sessions’ draconian plans for reinstating mandatory minimums, and plenty more to keep us busy.

Judging from how Trump’s tweets went after Comey’s last time testifying, I’m betting that no matter what Comey says Trump will somehow claim it exonerates him.

That’s the best thing I’ve read on the internet comments universe in a million years.
