this is exactly how i feel about the situation! i laughed at the original thread while seeing its merits bc the author also seemed to be humblebragging about how needed she is among her friends but still thought that the basic idea was sound though awkwardly explained 

its a power play and its (almost) always obnoxious. 

won’t somebody think of the bloggers! how will they be able to come up with the takes for another gritty origin movie. hasn’t anyone thought about how much emotional labor it takes for the avclub to get so worked up over a movie?

i had to unfollow her because while i really like her work her twitter personality and responses to slights/perceived slights are really off putting

i mean this bullshit is common here, on twitter, and anywhere that people react to slights or defend their work/work they like from attacks. it’s often valid but it’s also super easy for someone working disingenuously to exploit.

Man who perennial dislikes SNL continues to dislike SNL. I don’t think I would find this so entertaining if I didn’t get the feeling that you take the low-stakes political humor as a personal affront. That entertains me.
