Coors Banquet—to me it just hits all the right, generic beer flavors and I genuinely like it.

This was really great and, I think, offers a really strong framework for discussing and accurately naming the awful things this administration is doing to people fleeing terror.
In many cases, resorting to a hurled “fuck you” would reflect poorly on the speaker (suck it commenters, tone matters.)
There’s something a little chickenshit about an anonymous article with anonymous commenters engaging in a circle jerk over getting an admittedly horrible man’s cell number.
Right? I enjoyed the New York story, though I thought the writer was a little too enamored with Sorokin/Delvey and could’ve used some of the perspective Prachi brought to this piece but, like, I don’t have much faith that the tv show won’t overly glamorize the grift.
yeah. after listening to the audio I was disappointed in how Machado initially described it. I totally respect that she felt intimidated and I think he could’ve handled that better but the recording sounds more like diaz was being a dick because he didn’t like her challenging question than like he abusive toward her.
i like the way you think. donugs for everyone.
this website is incredible. thank you for sharing the real life leslie knope.
I would definitely eat this. But not in public. I have to have some standards, you know.
Is there room to think he was a piece of shit but that murder isn’t the right answer? Or does every reaction have to be so extreme?
For anyone who’s interested, this Vox piece goes into more detail and links to an audio recording of one of the encounters:

Wow. That lady sucks. “every campus.” Now i know that you only watch one cable news channel. Thanks for playing.
You really, really suck at trolling.
Yeah, between her interview and the NPR write-up, i’m really pumped for this book. I think it just jumped to the top of my reading list once I finish rereading Kitchen Confidential.
Yeah, this seems like the quickest way to ensure that the people we’re actively harming can organize themselves. These kids will not forget this and many will soon hit the age range when young men are most likely to choose violence.
The growing authoritarian sentiment in the U.S. is really troubling because the underlying belief—that there is only way forward or one possible leader—can infect any movement.
That’s such an awesome idea. I hope that other film festivals start doing this, whether by setting a minimum or just by letting less known freelancers get seats. A few of my friends are arts writers—like published but freelancing and not ‘known’—and the hoops they’ve had to jump through are awful.
Fair market rent for a one bedroom in my area of harlem is $1,280.
