IMO: The fact that Dr Strange counts as “mediocre” in the MCU is a ringing endorsement of the overall quality of the MCU.

There’s a life-sized Flash statue near my office and it looks so stupid. He sort of looks like a cheap, blocky, daredevil action figure.
Is it a good chunk or is it a very very small chunk that is extremely loud? I’ve not paid enough attention to the fandom to be able to tell, but based on the rest of the internet, my guess is that it’s the latter.
Good point. But after a while, you gotta be thinking, “Ted really freakin looks like Brad Pitt. He also takes sabbaticals for months at a time, then a new Brad Pitt movie gets released a few months later. I’m gonna ask him.”
Trump is like Bush without the pretencse that his beliefs are sincerely held. It’s awful how GWB paved the way for this.
The Cthulhu mythos as your favorite religion? Are you insane???
Honestly, I don’t think that’s the case. I don’t think he wrote that stuff as a smokescreen, he wrote it because he believes it. And he also does awful shit that. I think you get less cognitive dissonance going through the world thinking that people can believe in all the right things and still not live up to those…
I think viewing it as a front assumes he knows he’s acting/lying. I think people, even these creepy, criminal men in all these stories, are complex. I’m sure many of his feminist beliefs and pro-women rhetoric come from a real, genuine place of support. They just also come from a conflicted, flawed man who also did…
I was never one of those bros, so I don’t really know why I’m bothering opening myself up to this, but — this isn’t fair. The behavior that makes it difficult to come forward is attacking the credibility of accusers, blaming them for whatever happened, excusing the perpetrators, etc.
Add some time travel, get the rights from some other publishers, and bam! You’ve got Poirot meets Nero Wolfe.
They (no joke) tease a new Death On The Nile movie at the end.
I still want to see it, mainly for that cast, but is there anyone literate or cineliterate person on the face of the planet who doesn’t know the ending?
Just like Ray Palmer was originally supposed to be Ted Kord, I kind of suspect that Ralph Dibny was a substitute for Eel O’Brian, going by his characterization.
I respectfully recommend that anyone who has bailed on Arrow check it out. I understand-parts of seasons 3 and 4 were pretty rough. But season 5 was awesome, just a fantastic rebound season for Arrow. And season 6 has continued the trend and is really good so far.
Do you donate future residuals after associating with Weinstein? You will
Creepy men that kidnap hurt women and keep them “safe” in their dungeons and yell and lock them up when they disobey and try to escape are in fact good samaritans and should be treated by said women accordingly (with love and respect)?
Yeah, I liked Tom’s take. “Parker” is a pretty good movie, but it was absolutely NOT a Parker movie. It’s as big a misfire for a Donald Westlake/Richard Stark novel as that time, in one of the worst cases of miscasting since John Wayne as Genghis Khan, when they cast Robert Redford as Dortmunder.
I don’t think we can intuit Inuit.
Exactly what I wanted to ask. You can say what you about the original show and what this smoldering hunk of shit looks like, but the original theme from the 70's is fucking perfect. It goes up there with Hawaii 5-0 and Mission Impossible for incredible themes.
Episode 1: The SWAT Team tries to serve a warrant on a suspect who failed to appear in court on a simple marijuana possession charge. After knocking out a wall with their armored assault vehicle Hondo shoots all the family pets. It is later determined that the suspect hasn’t lived there in 8 months.
