Yeah, the treatment of Phelps really soured the movie for me. Particularly since they made him a betrayer for just money, which was ridiculous. If Phelps wanted $10M, he could steal it every day of the week and twice on Sundays, and no one would ever know.
Was Watchmen in Imax? Not sure if glowing blue CGI Dr. Manhattan dong would count anyway.
Also, gravity is much stronger on Zuck’s home planet, so he is deceptively strong for his size.
Conversely, whoever loses, we win.
I also caught an early show of this, and agree completely. It was a packed house and everyone was having a blast. I haven’t had that experience in a theater in a long time.
The first one leaves a bad taste in my mouth for making Jim Phelps (from the TV show) a traitor. Especially with money as the motivation. If Phelps wanted $10M, he could steal it every day of the week and twice on Sundays without anyone knowing about it.
I don’t. The first movie features the main character from the original show.
???? MI took a break for 30 years.
Yeah, but but they pay residuals based on streams, just like spotify, right? So if they’re incurring residual costs, it means people are watching, which means its part of the reason people are subscribing. Seems like paying residuals means you’re maintaining customers.
You mean you don’t know Dickinson???? Hmmmph!
Harrison Ford whips it. Whips it good.
Fury Road. Blade Runner 2049. Creed, if you count that.
Agreed. He wasn’t a pitiful joke in Raiders.
That scene still blows my mind every time I watch it.
It would be like those episodes of Breaking Bad/BCS where Mike is just methodically working shit out.
I dunno. The “unwise” cup that aged the dude 100 years in 10 seconds looked pretty fucking magical too.
I actually hate that they made Brody a ridiculous joke in Crusade. In Raiders, he was the guy who would’ve gone after the Ark himself if he had been a few years younger.
I think hyp0thermia would get him first - water was probably pretty cold. Even 80 degree water will kill you if you’re dunked in it long enough.
True - we don’t see it at all in the movies. I said “lashed to a submarine” because in the comic adaptation, Indy tied himself to the periscope with his whip.
