The corpse-mocking one-liners in this one are at a level that would embarrass Ahnuld.

Here are some archaic language things that vex me, but I’m sure not anyone else:

I found season 1 to be a little bit of a slog, but all the place-setting really pays off in S2. So, if you’re at all ambivalent after watching a few S1 eps, power through!

Eva Greene is who always sprung to mind for me for a Fatale adaptation, but Atwell would be great as well.

I dunno. Most drunks claim to have TWO beers/glasses of wine. That’s much more credible, you see.

I thought that maybe they were going to have Hex take the Death Totem. After all, “he has two companions - one is Death itself...the other, the acrid smell of gun smoke.”

Hmmm. Everyone’s mileage varies, of course, but while I can see an argument that RotJ is better, I can’t see such an argument for Sub-Zero. My recollection is that Sub-Zero was more like an enjoyable but middling 2-parter from the series.

This just leaves me confused as to why we are not getting Lando: A Star Wars Story.

I read it your way as well.

Mask of the Phantasm is still the best Batman movie ever made, IMO.

Counter-bad take: Being someone’s rebellion is usually pretty great.

Wait, Kendra was a barista? I don’t remember that being mentioned on the show at all.

Probably it was LED lighting. It’s consistent with their photo-sensor technology.

Also, the darts were triggered by some sort of light sensor. Pretty advanced tech for Incas/Olmecs/whatever that temple was supposed to be.

I also liked Ant-Man. But the fact that fucking Ant-Man did almost as well as the Justice League is mind-boggling.

The WB marketing department did make a valiant effort to re-brand the marketing as “Wonder Woman and some other people” right before release.

“The Flash is supposed to be sleek and fast. Let’s make his costume look like melted bowling balls held together with piano wire.”

Almost as many people paid to see a movie about Ant-Man as paid to see a movie featuring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.

Yeah. They managed to translate a comic book double-page spread to the big screen. It was pretty great.

The pilot of Gotham drove me away immediately. I couldn’t take the dialog.
