I’m curious what issues the die-hards would have with Brett. I wouldn’t classify my self as a Sherlockian and don’t have an encyclopedic knowledge of the lore or anything, but I’ve read all of Doyle’s stories and certainly consider Brett’s portrayal to be the best.

Marvel’s certainly tried to expand readership with Squirrel Girl, Ms. Marvel, Hellcat, etc. But, they do seem to be cash-in focused.
