How My Dictate?

Yes, seriously. I don’t have any sort of facts/figures in front of me, but I’m guessing accidents around the home (e.g. pool drowning) happen way more frequently than rare diseases like pediatric cancer. Accidents are also more preventable, which leads me to be anxious... you know, because I’m responsible.

My son just turned 19 months old last week, and I have such anxiety any time I take him to the neighborhood pool. I try to tell myself to chill out, but reading this story may turn me into a helicopter parent for at least the next couple years. I can’t imagine the unfathomable pain of losing a child.

Lebron is a good dude, but why hasn’t Savannah Brinson taken his last name?

Ask Shawn Kemp about how the Ring of Protection works for NBA players.

If all 4 keep taking slight pay cuts (~$5-10MM per season), it’s possible. However, they live in a high tax, high cost of living area unlike other teams who have done it (Miami Heat - low tax; Spurs - both low tax and cost of living). Will be interesting to watch.

I agree he does all those things well, which is why he’s excellent as the 4th best player on the Warriors.

Agreed that Klay seems to want to make it work, but how many days would you keep coming to work for 50-65% of your market value?

So Draymond will take the veterans’ minimum to keep this team together?

Now playing

Reminds me of the Mike Tyson “broken back” interview it’s worth the 2 minute investment of your time

We have hope, Albert. The Warriors have to choose between Klay and Draymond in a couple years.

I hate prop bets, but I’d love for Deadspin to see who nails this wager. I kind of like Boston at +1000.

The NBA TV contract that ballooned the salary cap will be the chief reason Lebron doesn’t end up with 5-7 rings. Amazing stuff.

You’re right. Those Old White Men really ruined North Korea didn’t they?! And I forgot about those Old White African Warlords!

I think there’s a slight Russell Westbrook effect. Lebron is an infinitely better passer, but all his teammates seem to fight the urge to sit back and “watch him do cool shit.”

The L2M still leaves a worse taste in my mouth.

“The quicker we get down 3-1, the quicker we can come back and win, and the quicker I can go shirtless all summer.”

Agreed, but he wasn’t even close to being in the restricted area.

JR Smith clearly knows the quicker the Cavs go down 3-1, the quicker they can come back.

Lebron is FINALLY going to win the Finals MVP on the losing team this year, right? Is it only because Andre Iguodala is out?

Does this mean Nick Anderson is off the hook for biggest choke job?!
