if they had put the 2.7TT in the Mustang

Yep and you can also warp the rotors that way.

This. It was the mechanic’s fault and by responsibility, the shop’s liability.

Ford then slapped the Merkur badge onto it and it sold a little better, but I could buy a V8 Mustang for cheaper.”

I was driving from Colorado to Tennessee.  Somewhere in Kansas I stopped to get fuel and the engine would not restart.  I checked I bought gasoline.  I tried to drain the fuel tank.  After a few hours, the engine started and ran okay.  Then about 3 hours from my destination, the check engine light started to flash.

You hit the major point, but it’s more nuanced than that. When new, dealers didn’t have many LS/LT 1LE models so I was basically getting quoted around MSRP which I think was a tactic to drive sales to the SS models. Now there is the LT1 which fully bridges that gap. On the used market however, I could pick up a low

It’s a whole lot easier to convert a V8 Camaro into a V8 1LE than it is to convert a V6 1LE into a V8 1LE.

It’s a common problem in sales, and choices in general.

Man, I feel you! The day when I got my Miata down off of the jack stands it’d been sitting on all winter was a very good day, and all I had been doing was basically a suspension upgrade and a bunch of maintenance work. Nothing compared to your build, but even so it was massively good to have the car back on her own

I thought you were starting your journey west yesterday, to revive the FC drag that FC home?

Agreed on the Stelvio. I had a Giulia Quad for a while and a Cayenne Turbo at the same time, and many times wished I had gotten the Stelvio Quad instead.  Owning multiple cars can be a pain and you end up not driving all of them as much as you might wish.

Wow...creative writing 101; well done. Funny thing as a nearly 40 year old dad at the time, I twisted the hell out of my back stepping out of the that low sitting ride so your statement “his back and neck hurt” hit it right on the head. I’m going back this Fall as a 50 year old Dad, and I hope to not repeat the same

I, too, remember that Aerosmith ride and its Tesla-like acceleration that I was not ready for.

A star and my best reaction gif to you

And pulling up Alicia Silverstone on the phone when wife isn’t looking, because she is the only thing you remember from all the dozens of Aerosmith music videos.

Holy shit, the accuracy !
Also, incendently, probably the last time I was subjected to them was in that ride. And I’d totally forgotten it was them.

Great picks. The Stelvio is especially underrated.

Dad?

Damn

Nailed it.
