Road Trips on 2 wheels are definitely a different experience than a car, even a convertible. How much you get out of it depends entirely on your tolerance for the weather though. At the time I was studying for my A-Levels (High school finals for the American folk) and remember thinking ‘I’ll take a couple of hours for a break and watch the grand prix’. 5 hours later, the race still hadn’t finished and I had completely forgotten what it was I was meant to be studying.

My mom had an ‘07 ES that I drove a bunch toward the end of my high school career. I loved that thing. One thing that made me happy: I’d leave it in the sun all day at work on a 90° day and it’d still blow ice cold A/C within 15 seconds of turning on.
