Well I don’t believe that capitalism is a wicked machine. I believe that the managers of pubic companies are bound by a very clear directive and that is to increase shareholder value. 

I think you’re mad at the wrong thing. C-suite managers are legally bound by a fiduciary duty (duty of care). The Board of Directors represent the Shareholders who own the company. The board hires the C-suite managers to run the Company for them. If the board believes the managers are not running the company in a way…

Not bull. A binding legal obligation to the shareholders of a public company. 

You cannot fault the management of a public corporation for acting in the best interest of their shareholders. Full stop. Even if the CEOs of the auto industry had personal convictions about pollution, they are bound by their duty to the board of directors and ultimately the shareholders.

Make sure your CPO is not a POS or you can be SOL.

Had a friend in the scrap metal business that had similar issues. It’s a great story for him to tell but essentially after all the sorting or whatever scrap yards do, they loaded it up on a train for Mexico and every trip they would lose 10-15% of the cargo in transit. This isn’t great for business for obvious reasons…

But one aspect that’s especially interesting here are the door handles. They look oddly... old.
