Volvo 240 Bertone
We spent last weekend in Maine. Naturally these were the only photos I took.
Working in finance and NOT playing golf means doing a ton of work in the summer while your co-workers are “networking”.
I just replaced the fuel pump last weekend. After doing a litany of other work to try to solve my hard starting/rough idle I think I’ve finally conquered it. The old pump wasn’t holding pressure, and the new one works so well that it exposed some leaky fuel line connections (yay).
I narrowly avoided disaster on my drive home yesterday from 4th of July weekend in Kentucky. I had posted a few months ago about how I had a brand new tire go completely flat while my Fiance was driving. I pumped it back up and it held pressure just fine.
I’m asking because I’ve gotten conflicting information on this. Normally when I fill up the Rover, I stop the pump before the auto shutoff. Last weekend on my epic roadtrip to Michigan, I was washing the windshield and didn’t realize the pump hit the auto shutoff.
Spotted by my Fiancé outside of Trump tower just now. She has a knack for finding the best stuff when she’s out and about.
The Rover made it 450 miles round trip up to Michigan and back this weekend. It’s the longest trip I’ve attempted in probably 3 years.
Yes, of course we ended up adopting Rascal. We didn’t really have much of a choice. He’s been pretty perfect for the first week we’ve had him. I’ve been transformed into a crazy dog dad.
His name is Rascal and he’s 16 months old. We have him for a “trial basis” for the weekend, but I already know he’s staying.
It’s also my birthday.
That is all.
took the Rover to my first ever cars and coffee. My fiancé took some pics, but I forgot to. It was hosted by Collector Cars Garage here in Chicago. It was a cool event with a good variety of cars (and Teslas). The collectors car warehouse was open, but most things were behind a lot of rope. There were a pair of Icon…
Yesterday morning, just as I’m arriving downtown for work, I get a call from my fiance saying she has a flat tire. I jump in a Lyft and head her way to discover that she wasn’t lying, the tire is flat. Mind you these are brand new tires, only a couple weeks old.
Picked up a set of Nitto NT 555 G2s and had them mounted on a set of junkyard 18’s that I picked up. All in including mount/balance for $857.
Scored this set of 18” wheels off an A6 for my summer tires. Couldn’t get the tires off so I had to buy those too ☹️
