Yes, of course we ended up adopting Rascal. We didn’t really have much of a choice. He’s been pretty perfect for the first week we’ve had him. I’ve been transformed into a crazy dog dad.
His name is Rascal and he’s 16 months old. We have him for a “trial basis” for the weekend, but I already know he’s staying.
It’s also my birthday.
That is all.
took the Rover to my first ever cars and coffee. My fiancé took some pics, but I forgot to. It was hosted by Collector Cars Garage here in Chicago. It was a cool event with a good variety of cars (and Teslas). The collectors car warehouse was open, but most things were behind a lot of rope. There were a pair of Icon…
Yesterday morning, just as I’m arriving downtown for work, I get a call from my fiance saying she has a flat tire. I jump in a Lyft and head her way to discover that she wasn’t lying, the tire is flat. Mind you these are brand new tires, only a couple weeks old.
Picked up a set of Nitto NT 555 G2s and had them mounted on a set of junkyard 18’s that I picked up. All in including mount/balance for $857.
Scored this set of 18” wheels off an A6 for my summer tires. Couldn’t get the tires off so I had to buy those too ☹️
I finally got the new set of headers installed after completely botching the first set. I went over to the garage last night to extend the harness on the O2 sensors and plug them in. The new headers required moving the sensors further down the Y-pipe and the wires weren’t long enough to reach the plugs on the EFI…
Not a fan of the bedliner or the light bar but at least someone’s keeping this ol’ beast alive.
In classic fashion, as my projects go, I’ve managed s screw something up. It’s fully my fault, as my fiancé says, this is a problem that only I would find myself having. No normal person would subject themselves to this unfortunate chain of events to be faced with delimias similar to mine. Fortunately, I have a group…
I recently installed a catch can after I spent a weekend cleaning my oily upper intake. I’ve only had it on about a month and have probably driven the truck no more than 100 miles in that time. I pulled the can tonight to see what I had collected.
Photo isn’t mine, but I found a set of these rear lamp guards during a recent junkyard pillage. These were a factory Land Rover option and to find them today is quite rare. I picked them up on half off day for $6!
So this came up for sale on the local CL and I was thinking of picking it up to rebuild and eventually swap into my RRC. The seller doesn’t know how many miles are on it, only that it had bad rod knock.
The shop calls you and tells you they have no idea why the car is not running right, and they’re ready to give it back to you at no charge.
Hey Oppo, long time no talk. I’ve been MIA for the last month or so, but much has happened and after reading this post, you’ll know about it! Apologies for the long post, but also no one is forcing you to read it.
