I don't think there is any way that "The Biggest Loser" could be made healthier. It's simply not healthy to make it a goal to lose as much weight as fast as possible. Every doctor, every book on health, everybody concerned about health will tell you that it's best to lose weight slowly.

While I can understand the zoo's reasoning, I think the reason people were so upset (one reason, anyway) is that zoos in general have very carefully built long term reputation as a place where animals are "safe." (Obviously this isn't always true—there are tons of terrible zoos.)

Cup Noodle Man needs to just dump his contents. There's enough sodium in those cups to take care of that snow rather....instantly.

Here's what I think. I don't think America is actually "concerned" for her - I think people are upset with having the curtain pulled back on what is it actually takes for most women to get that skinny. It's ruined the fantasy of the effortlessly skinny woman, and America is freaking out.

And, bottom line, many people remain obese because they are depressed because of being obese. Break that cycle, help them learn to love themselves, and they often start making physically healthier choices on their own. I've seen it far too often. I've experienced it myself.
