I agree that not every game is worth going all-in for, but I agree with Kepler when he says that, after fighting back to tie this one, this game may have been worth fighting for. At the very least, it does make him look better in the clubhouse (because honestly, momentum and motivation are voodoo in sports).

I’m less worried about Bird’s rough patches at the plate as I am worried about his inability to be healthy.

I gotta think he gets kicked to first base sooner than later. Yes, he’s better than most at picking off baserunners, but with less baserunners stealing to begin with, how useful is that compared to framing/catching the ball to begin with?

The closest thing to metaphysical nothing is absolutely terrifying, despite Bart’s qualms. Mostly because that nothingness will mean you will quickly go through many changes that terrify you, such as slowly having your blood boil, and suffocating slowly and painfully.
