The Elderscrolls, Dragon Age and The Witcher Franchises are all anything but bland, White Eurocentrism- anyone who thinks that doesn’t deserve to be called a Game’s critic or journalist- as all three settings deal the the horrors of xenophobia. The most shocking and horrifying thing I’ve ever seen in a game was the

Oblivion was a very well crafted world that obeyed actual rules of how a landscape works- for instance the Oblivion Dev team brought in actual geologists to consult when designing their height map tools- there are believable canyons and mountains. Flora only grows in Oblivion on certain slope angles for instance.

The Witcher 3

Morrowind was my first gaming love. I played that game constantly for years. Baldur’s Gate 2 is another.

Oblivion’s adoring fan- Witcher Edition.

Again I think people see Lord of the Rings in isolation without considering its broader universe. Galadriel would be a great example of a less heroic and more self absorbed character. She is genuinely afraid of returning to the undying lands after the greedy things her and her kin have done. I wouldn’t call her good

Except that you are ignoring a lot of Tolkien’s writing in that regard. The Children of Hurin would be one particular example of how Tolkien and Martin actually used similar approaches to characterization. Most of the characters in the Silmarrilion are particularly grey morally speaking. I think you misunderstand

You really should just stop- you're basing this all on assumptions in your head about a show you've never actually watched. You can't compare the show to the books if your idea of the show is based on pure speculation- you have no leg to stand on.

That's where you are completely wrong though- a great example would be the quoted passage about the Mountain killing Prince Oberyn. It happens exactly as described in the book- even down to having the same dialogue. There's nothing vague about it in either one.

For my money the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks is also pretty damn great.

Naturally tastes differ, but this list is atrocious. The Unoficial Legendary Edition Patch is the only Gem here for my tastes. Btw I suspect you were being facetious about its scope- but in case anyone missed the irony it really is a massive mod that fixes thousands upon thousands of bugs.

I'll gladly wear that badge- Cthulhu 2016: No Lives Matter!

I bought it on PC years back and it while worked fairly well there were bugs. Still was one of the best games I’ve ever played. Stopped playing when my discs wore out and forgot about it until I bought it on my iPhone last year- it’s truly awesome!

Sounds like bullshit- these days incredible scans can be made even with iPhones. I have a couple of 3D scanning apps on my phone. Two scans of the same inanimate object are not going to vary widely.

So a developer that doesn’t care about the PC and sold out long ago is slamming the company he originally sold out to?

Wish I'd known- would've petitioned for a PC version of Fable 2 and a legal option for PC players to get their hands on Fable 3 now that the marketplace is dead.

I was going to make this if someone else hadn't.

And opinions often swing wildly given enough time. Two of my all time favorite games were panned as “shit” when they first came along- namely Gothic 3 and Dark Messiah of Might and Magick, now they’re both considered great classics because they did things better than certain subsequent games in their respective

Bethesda already made that game.

That is so true- I saw a Pogrom (massacre) in the Witcher 2 and it really disturbed the hell out of me- watching a mob beat people to death made me really re-examine human cruelty.
