Unfortunately, it also says “runs and drives”.

The Lamborghini context of the picture with the Popemobile made me double take to make sure I wasn’t seeing an LM002-based Popemobile, which would have been awesome in any context.
Why doesn’t anyone ever mention the GT cars? They already compete on the same circuits, often in the same races (different classes), and are required to be based off of production cars. Once again the LMPs get all the attention, and the GTs are left out of the spotlight where they belong.
Instead of mid-engined, it appears to be mid-flux-capacited.
In the video, it appears to lose a piece of bodywork. They could get the part number off it, assuming it was recovered.
Glad to see Phil Margera is still doing well.
Regardless of scope or model, this is a great write-up on the “standard” repairs/checks you should do when purchasing an older bike.
Is that not for the i8? The car icon in the upper left does not look much like a 7 Series. And something this ‘tech-forward’ would fit well with the i8's general motif.
This article unknowingly illustrates another big flaw of the way WEC is currently marketed — no mention of the GT-class cars. It’s hard for audiences to grasp on to why a Toyota looks like a Porsche which looks like, wait, WTF is a Dallara? Audiences recognize Ferraris. They recognize Corvettes. They want to see…
I don’t get why they took a full-time, multi-year Corvette driver out for a driver who usually runs Cadillacs in WeatherTech. I know he’s good and obviously knows how to win, but that Corvette is an extension of Jan Magnussen’s being.
If it was not a “Greenwood” Corvette before, it is now.
“Its” vs “It’s”. You’re a semi-professional journalist. Learn the difference.
Eastern Colorado. After suffering through western Kansas, you hit the Colorado border and get excited. However, it looks the exact same, actually somehow worse. It’s not until you hit Denver traffic that you can actually see mountains.
Wouldn’t any ‘90s-2000s Mercury, with the exception of the Cougar and Marauder, qualify for a “meh” car? The Mystique? Sans mystique. The Sable? Unable. Villager? Village idiot. Grand Marquis? Grand way to move old people.
The TV coverage showed hardly any other class other than LMP1. FIA and IMSA need to realize there is good marketing value in showing Ferraris racing Ford GTs and Porsches and Corvettes. The only recognizable name from the LMP1/LMP2 classes was “Jackie Chan”.

Look at the mass of Jawas that come out to try and grab the car to presumably sell it to unwitting uncles and future defenders of the galaxy until the latter notices the lightning damage and requests the other R2 unit.
