For an irreverent Antipodean view, Box of Neutrals is a good listen:

And laws to stop the government-to-lobbyist transition that happens so regularly.

A quick note. Cars and bikes both race at the Macau GP. But *not at the same time*.

I think that the absolute focus on high speed and the remarkable Nordkurve mean that it can’t be considered among the worst circuits. Holding the record for average race speed from 1936 to 1986 is pretty crazy.

Not Caesar’s Palace parking lot or Dallas and its incredible disintegrating track?

“I’m an internet journalist, not a mathematician!”

The 992 GT3 has 500-odd horsepower, and there are threads on Rennlist complaining about how the clutch is just far too light...

The design of the pedestrian impact structures and the shape of the vehicle are much more of an issue than the weight at that point. Broadly speaking, an impact between a vehicle and a pedestrian results in both travelling at the same speed in the same direction at the end of the impact, and conversation of momentum

Tinted Silver is better than just Silver, true.

No one but Leh Keen, anyway.

Primer ("Chalk" or "Crayon") seems to be another popular colour on them.

Beige? Come on, future Porsche owner, take advantage of the ability to choose an actual colour.

I think the narrow definition seems the most likely. Your point about menthol also (perhaps primarily) being used in non-food applications is well made - and menthol seems to cost around half as much by weight as benzaldehyde, so their categorisation might well include synthesised menthol used in food applications. Assuming that the car in the story uses the GT3 engine from the 996 (Mezger) rather than the current (9A1) GT3 engine, it’s not a single- or dual-row (ball) bearing, it’s a plain bearing (as described by TheChafing above). If it uses a current GT3 engine (unlikely, because that would be a royal pain in the arse to fit

As an aside, given you brought up vanillin and seem to have a fair knowledge of the area, do you think the claim that benzaldehyde is the second most valuable compound holds water? I would have thought that vanillin and menthol hold the top two spots.

Are you slandering musk-flavoured sweets!?

Hmmm...

They seem to be losing a lot of AK-12s to Ukrainian forces.
