Exactly - I would have thought that EVs suit the rugged individualists of Texas down to the ground - put a shit-ton of solar panels on your roof, and you can charge your car without the intervention of the state, then power your house from your car. There's no need to even have an electrical grid in that case.

Cowgirls?

1) Alpine: Nice colour choice, if expected. Alpine graphics well-utilised.

It’s his spirit guide:

Or in an 86, in exceptional cases:

What a ridiculous statement by Beloussov.

Diesel fuel didn't work in the US?

Might not be there for long anyway:

Chevron and Shell are investing too.

Or white, blue and red?

Speaking of new liveries and exciting ways to crash (I’m thinking of one driver in particular here...), any thoughts on the old red, white and blue?

Short of some incredible breakthrough, the next set of regulations will definitely not rely solely on battery power for the cars - the new engine formula is due in 2026, I believe.

Yes, that’s basically what it is. It makes some sense to create a fuel like this if you have access to massive amounts of excess energy (like from an enormous solar array), because it’s energy-dense compared to a battery. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if petrochemical energy companies are researching the shit out of

Dammit Porsche (and yes, it’s more of a styling proposal than an engineering one, but still).

It’s AM’s version, I believe.

I think that technically it’s Aston Martin Racing Green, which evolved from Almond Green. Or one of the Almond Greens anyway - there are a ton of different shades that AM have called Almond Green over the years. I think the colour was matched from Stirling Moss’ DBR4.

It’s certainly cleverer than the Gauloises sponsorship on the Yamaha factory bikes:

The timescale will be different for cars. The average car in the US is, I believe, 12 years old. The average smartphone is probably 12 months old. Proliferation will take some time without significant and continuing market intervention on the part of governments.

Her underpaid domestic staff made that bed, and now she has to lie in it.

In my opinion it’s not even the best new livery this year (that goes to the Alpine A521):
