Yeah, flashing those studio strobes in those scared animals’ eyes isn’t good. Looks like the photographer used a Nikon D3S, D4, or D4S. He could have cranked the ISO up to the highest setting and shoot without the fear of burning those animals’ retinas to a crisp. That’s what I’d do.
