Ossoff’s got crazy political connections. His mom’s a lobbyist and founded a PAC.

People in the Chicago suburbs are the same way. There are people who live 20 minutes from downtown and only visit maybe once a decade, and even then they think they’re about to die the whole time. Like it’s a nonstop Mad Max wasteland at all times. I know someone who insisted she’d never move to the city because “you…
The hell are you on about, Georgia is barely 60% Republican if it’s an enthusiastic vote and that is rare. Clinton lost by 4 points. Ossoff lost by 5 in a formerly unfathomably Red district. The demographics are changing and they are changing rapidly here. The state GOP has almost zero cash on hand, they know about…
I keep reading articles about Trump voters and they say that Democrats don’t understand them and you know what? They’re right. I don’t understand, at all, huge segments of this country and never will. I don’t get it and don’t want to. At this point I’m good staying in my bubble.
I can’t wait for Sanders supporters to blame this on not running a more progressive candidate in the Georgia fucking 6th.
FFS.
You know, I had really liked Ossoff, too. A disciplined campaigner, thanked all the right people, kept an upbeat message. Young, too. He’d have had a good future, had he been elected - though not in that particular office, given that he’d never be re-elected, once the Republican label stopped being so radioactive.
No reason to think that would’ve helped in GA06. It’s a Republican district. Maybe if Ossoff had actually lived in the district, he could’ve voted for himself.
You are my hero. <3
As a liberal, we have to stop being completely idealistic, and get out to vote for every single Dem. Time to start unifying and voting as a bloc instead of splintering between centrists, leftists, and every shade in between.
I’ve had a lot of reactions to this over the last hour, but my latest thoughts are unfortunately grim and self-centered.
That they don’t want to pay Poors. That they’ll attract businesses because said businesses literally will not have to pay people enough money to live and they’ll be the only game in town. That they’ve reinvented indentured servitude and slavery.
What is Georgia thinking???
He will do something incredibly stupid and hopefully not catastrophic by Friday. No one will be thinking about this election. I’m sure Jeff Sessions lawyer will have to hire a lawyer by Monday.
It’s a wealthy district full of the “fuck you, I got mine” mindset. These people are only convinced that a living wage would mean their bottom line gets hurt.

Yeah, I know, a single-digit loss in a district R’s won by 20 points last year, blah blah blah. Anybody else depressed as fuck right now? We are stuck with Trump and his evil brethren for the foreseeable future, and if there’s anything worse than Trump, it’s Trump thinking he won something. That’s Trump at maximum…
Johnny proves once again that ONLY Keith Richards can live like Keith Richards.
I don’t understand. This man should have generational wealth. Even living a lavish lifestyle, it’s hard to imagine how someone can spend literally hundreds of millions of dollars in such a short period of time. What a waste.
