She looks GREAT for 60. And if all the characters in the putative sequel are 30 years older, it doesn’t make sense to cast some 20-something as Charlie. Or as Goose’s widow. Or as anyone who appeared in the original.

Can I just say that I hate Tom Cruise? I mean, as a teenager, I loved him in Risky Business and Top Gun (I had a college roommate in Navy ROTC, so you can imagine how many times I saw the movie). But I have not been able stand him as a person or an actor for a really long time.

Yes. He has had a shitload of surgery, is younger than her, and has had a much less stressful life. That is how 60 year old women all over the world actually look.

She looks like a normal woman who hasn’t had heaps of plastic surgery on her body or face and doesn’t employ a personal trainer and cook to keep her at a strict, ultra-cut size, yes. Tom Cruise has not only done all of that but is about 6 years younger than her, so of course they look different.

Also, he’s super chummy with a guy who basically operates as a dictator (abusing staff, complete control, etc.) and benefits from slave labor (SeaOrg staff who’ve done work on his estates) as a result.
