This, in my country the only departments in the police that drive “intimidating cars” (Audi A6 stations, BMW X5 etc) are the highspeed highway patrol officers and the rapid-response/special-arrests teams.

Also works with newer cars, Had to push-start my old Fiat Punto a bunch of times and it always did the trick, same with my dads old diesel Opel Zafira. Put the thing in second gear, push like your life depends on it and hope for starts up on the first attempt. If not, try again.
