Well, obviously, certain jobs are going to require some experience in specific settings. I was more referring to the person who's starting out and learning. I've gotten so sick of people at my university who have practically married a particular language, and have no respect for anything else. If you can do

I'm nearly done with my CS degree, and my school requires a significant amount of math to graduate. Depending on the track, you'll need a minimum of 2 terms of calculus, and 2 terms of discrete mathematics. Then each track has additional requirements depending on the direction you're studying.

A lot of it is just practice. I've always been a decent problem solver, not the best, but decent.

Problem solving is the biggest part of what we do. Computers are weird, and you usually need to relearn how you think about problems. To be effective, you need to truly learn how a computer operates and understand how the CPU processes information. I hate assembly personally, but I'm incredibly thankful that I took

I guess if you feel the need to micro manage your PC, then sure I guess. I meant there is no performance or efficiency benefit to doing it your way.

I'm not really sure "hassle free" will be a good descriptor for this. It might be able to run Debian 7, but I doubt much software out there is readily available for this particular processor. If you get one of these, I imagine you'll have a lot of fun compiling code from source.

Why? There's really no benefit to doing that.

Unfortunately, sometimes things don't go well with the family no matter what you do. I get along decently with my father in law, and I get along great with all of my siblings in law. My mother in law on the other hand, well, she hates me. She also has mental health issues so there's that... It might be prudent to

I totally understand wanting to have a little meat to chew on. The answer you're looking for could depend on a number of factors. What kind of meat are you using? How are you normally cooking the meat?

Alton Brown often wears a bow-tie, as does my grandfather who is one of the best human beings I know... I'm going with, "they're fine" and, "I'm jealous I can't pull them off".

You can absolutely change a lease. When it comes time to renew, both sides are free to renegotiate.

I don't mean to be difficult, but you'd still be in the wrong. You're still obligated to fix it within a "reasonable" amount of time. I use quotations because reasonable will be determined by the judge.

Still not legal. They rented the unit with the understanding that it was equipped with AC. I mean you could do it, but don't be surprised when you get your ass handed to you in court.

And this just furthers my understanding that online reviews are useless crap...

+1 for inkscape. It really is an awesome tool!

That's absolutely brilliant.

I guess Hobby Lobby would legally qualify as a "christian company".

Yeah, I voted at 1 in the morning, 4 days before the ballot was due. That's just so damn convenient what kind of asshole doesn't vote?

Every state should adopt Oregon's voting system. It's insane that the vast majority of the country has to head to an actual polling site in the middle of a work day and cast votes. Doing it by mail is far easier and the numbers show that its effective

I don't really know what locations you're referring to. Places like coffee stands and fast food? I rarely tip, if ever.
