Well, it would look pretty damn good on my shelf... It's one of my favorites too :)

Check the oil. Seriously, if the person hasn't probably maintained their car, it will show. Are they really low on oil? Does it look disgusting? Does it have shiny flecks? These are all (especially the last) indicators that you may need to walk away or at least get it more thoroughly checked by a professional. If…
Well yeah... But what's wrong with that? All food is grown with fertilizer... It's nothing unnatural.
I wasn't suggesting you drink the fertilizer...
Or you could, you know, occasionally by a bottle of fertilizer that lasts for forever.
It might be cool to see if you guys can get the kinja authors to add a GET option to combine all the sites. Maybe something like lifehacker.com/?worldwide=true would pull from the UK and Australia sites?
Invite was almost automatic. Now I'm sad it's OS X only :'(
Looks awesome, and the slow development at Sublime is starting to bother me... Any idea how hard it is to get an invite?
When will kinja offer to let me turn them off? Seriously, I'd like to support the site by taking off ad blocker, but common...
It wasn't really the clarity I noticed, just that the images were often too wide for the device. I've been considering the new Nexus 7 though... That makes it more tempting.
The problem I've found with the kindle is that most of the files are meant to be viewed on a 10" screen. You can get buy with a 7" tablet, but my 6" kindle just hasn't been great for the task.
Again referring to my grandparents as an example... She said one of the biggest niceties of working for them was that they treat her like a person. Some of the stories she has of how people talk to/treat her are mind boggling.
I personally don't have a house cleaner, my wife is one of those wackos that enjoys cleaning herself, but I know a few people that do. As far as I can tell, the answer is, it depends! I'm sorry, I know that isn't helpful.
It depends on the person. The best answer is, ask them! Some people prefer you stay while others would prefer that you're out of the way. In my experience, most people prefer the latter.
Tailors are also extremely useful for repairing damaged items, which most people don't usually know. I have a leather jacket that I love, and had thought ruined, fixed for $30. I know the person that bought it paid upwards of $200 for it, and it certainly has sentimental value worth more than that to me.
Until Jim comes around that is ;)
Thank you. :)
I'm getting a 500 error :(
As someone in college... Nope it still sucks big time. My college (Oregon State) has an in house version of Google Docs. All our edu addresses come as a part of the google apps suite. Now, every student has TONS of storage in a google apps environment and everyone's contact information is built into the system.
I'm rather partial to my father in law's response. "That's fine. You don't have to, want to." I will probably be stealing it. :)
