I appreciate the clarification but I’m still gonna point out that the two sentences below do not mean the same thing:

Agreed but maybe, just maybe, such positive reinforcement may lead to better, safer policing and the codification of appropriate responses to tense situations.

They knew she had mental health issues. She had an officer safety red flag on her file. They talked about it prior to the call. They were trained in mental health procedures. They still entered without a taser (or other less-lethal option) at the ready.

Whoa. I knew this merger was coming, like winter, but it’s still weird. Not as weird as sexy incest but weird nonetheless.

I ain’t trying to convince you of anything. Let’s make that mutual, shall we?
