Amen!

“contribute to Oppo (RIP)“

Wait, Oppo and the other sub-blogs had a rough patch, but Oppo is currently still very much still going...are you telling us that you know Oppo is going to be killed off soon...??? I hope not!!!

Welcome! Hope to see you around the comments and look forward to your work! :)

OH, YES! I had COMPLETELY forgotten about this, despite being a HUGE FIAT 500/126 fan! I didn’t remember the company at all, but I do remember reading about a German company selling the cars re-engined with two-strokes of smaller capacity....strange the way the world works!

Funny thing is, I bet the 15hp Goggomobile

They ARE very pretty...

Impressive, but that is also a very seemingly stripped car...in the interior: no sound deadening, no carpets, no airbag even. I don’t even see wipers on it, so the weight of that mechanism and motor is all missing as well. For a production model, I’m going to be taking that claimed range with a grain of salt if it’s

Getting one here in Canada is more expensive though. A friend in Poland tells me that the export restriction might only be on cars registered on yellow historical plates over there? I’d be looking for a late 126p EL or ELX anyway...less valuable.

I’m hoping to import a 126p to Canada sometime in the next year or two if I can find a good one for a fair price! :D

I also quite like it! No manual option though, that I know off, where the current Elantra does still have a standard as a choice.

I don’t see anything in this post on my end?

Agreed! My family had a ‘93 Caravan SE short wheelbase when I was a kid until I was a teen...white with red pinstripes down the side and a burgundy interior. Many fond memories of road trips in it.

Mom had it through a nasty divorce between my parents and, because of that split, it didn’t always get the maintenance

That Skoda is gorgeous!

Autobianchi Bianchina!

True, but for those people that just plain like small cars (like me), don’t want a larger car or crossover and use them for more than just commuting, having an EV that can do the types of range a current ICE city car could do would be better.

I agree, the massive ugly 500 badge on the front is the only big thing I don’t like about the looks...a retro-styled FIAT badge like the classic FIAT 500F or 500L would look great!

As much as I also love the ‘E’ (I am first and foremost a FIAT fan), the ‘E’ only has 220km of range compared to the new 500e’s 300-400km (depending on the test cycle you go with), so the 500 would mop the floor with the ‘e’ in that regard.

Completely agree!

I would love to see this come back to Canada! I love the current 500 and if they brought this back with an affordable enough price, it might be the first EV I would actually WANT to buy. I don’t need a fancy EV with a million options that can do 0-60 in 2 seconds.

If I want to get an EV DD, I just want a comfortable,

Love the Renault 4! It’s part of the class of car I love...simple and utilitarian, but cleverly engineered and lovable :)

The Citroen 2CV, classic FIAT 500, FIAT 126p, Trabant, Polish Nysa and Zuk vans....the Polish Tarpan truck...classic kei cars all things I would LOVE to have! Check out the Tarpan sometime David! It

OR...the driver could’ve actually been DRIVING, noticed the truck way in advance and braked to avoid it...?

What I don’t understand is why an automated system is even allowed to be set beyond the legal speed limit when the system KNOWS what the speed limit is...
