Not eco-friendly...?

Except that carbon fiber doesn’t rust or corrode, Nobe is building the cars to have easily removable and upgradable batteries and planning on designing batteries to update older models as new battery tech comes our or as old batteries wear out, so short of some sort of electrical failure (and Nobes

AMEN. I’ve long been arguing that most EVs for sale here are way too expensive for people on the lower end of the market. I can barely afford a decent used car let along a new EV. There ARE no used ones for sale here where I live in Nova Scotia and there is next to no charging infrastructure at all. :(

If there were

Carnival isn’t a new name...it’s the same name that the Sedona has had in most other global non-North American markets for years. If anything they aren’t re-naming it they’re just consolidating their naming scheme on the next iteration of the van.

Same thing with the Kia Optima...it’s called the K5 now, but that’s not

This doesn’t sound like somebody not renewing for 30 years...this sounds like somebody shoving a random plate he bought at a yard sale or flea market on his car and thinking he could get away with it.

No idea if will help, but good luck! Let me know if you ever get ahold of them! :)

You’d be surprised....they share a lot of parts with the classic FIAT 500 on which they were based, and a lot of classic 500 owners upgrade their cars with more modern 126p parts. There are several shops in the US that carry parts online (Mr. FIAT, for example) and most stuff is easily available online in general.

A HUGE and SINCERE thanks Jalops! We really appreciate your kind words and everything you’ve done for us over the years and all you’ve done to help save us in the last week...it’s been a whirlwind.

Oppo was my ‘home’ online...I check it many times a day, not just for the car content, but also for the camaraderie and

Hey! We share a love of basic, unpretentious, cheap ‘minimal motors’ then! :D

The place I’ve found that had told me they could help me when the time comes is CPS (they were actually in a Wheeler Dealers eipisode at one point) -

Nope, getting one anyway, haha! The article I linked is written by a good friend, it’s his car. If you use it as a ‘weekend’ ride and take care of it, they’re no more unreliable than any other ‘classic’. There’s very little to go wrong, and, if it does, parts are cheap and easily available online. Everything

YAY! My favorite car! The BIS didn’t just lay the engine on it’s side, it was also water-cooled! The car in the video is either an early 126p FL or a later FL with 126p ST parts (like the chrome bumpers) added onto it.

During the transition from the 126p ST (the first-gen built in Poland) to the FL, a lot of earlier FL

Yup, gorgeous little things! There was also a ‘sedan’ and an ‘estate’ as well!

Glad to see one of us Opponauts on the front page! :)

WHY, WHY does EVERY company that makes an EV just have to follow the seemingly common idea of ‘Let’s just glue a giant tablet to the dash!” and then be like ‘This, this looks good!”

:/

I bet this is Ethan Tufts’ Prism from ‘Hello Road’! He was talking about selling it not too long ago!!!

I would much prefer the Kona, if I’m honest...though the Kona EV has a far uglier face than the standard ICE Kona, IMO.

I know the market wants them, but I am getting tired of just seeing more somewhat bland SUVs and Crossovers coming onto the market :(

The mechanical connection is what I miss most. I’m of the opinion that automated everything is making a lot of people worse drivers. We don’t truly have to DRIVE anymore as things like radar cruise and auto-emergency-braking make us too comfortable and less aware.

But, aside from all that...I drive an Accent, so far

Amen!!! I still just want an EV with a similar range to my current ICE car (600km)...but in an ecobox. I don’t care about luxury fancy features and whether the interior is plastic-y or not, as long as it’s a fairly nice and comfortable place to be and has normal basic stuff, that’s all I care about!
