No, I mean China - Canada gets some Chinese-built Fits while the US get some from Mexico.

True....I have friends who traded in their older Honda Fit for one of the newer generation models that was built in China and they’ve had far more problems with it, so I guess I am just speaking from that experience.

...Focus Active imported from China, eh? Eh....not looking forward to the quality on those then...

I love the Giulia....but I would be FAR more open to buying one if they had offered manuals here in Canada. I love driving stick and prefer all my cars to have it it’s lack on the Giulia here is quite saddening! :(

Oh, thanks! Did miss that one! At least, I don’t remember seeing it!

TRABANT MUSEUM YOU SAY??? Quirky people’s cars are my jam! I hope you’ll be doing an article on that David! :)

Easy! :)

UH....the blue truck jackknifed trying to avoid the car, and more importantly, the giant red truck now on it’s side across lanes of traffic out of shot THANKS to the white car???

I think he means the fact several of FCA’s current platforms have been current for....awhile now.

Now playing

Check out Hubnut on Youtube - he bought 2 Invacars to use to restore one and has recently got it roadworthy....although many things still need tweaking! Fascinating playlist of ongoing videos! :D

So much want for that Trabant! :D

Nicky Grist was not a WRC driver, he was Colin McRae’s CO-driver?

Nice to see! At the same time, I wish manufacturers here would follow the path manufacturers in Europe do and still offer basic, no frills models with few features. Call me old-fashioned, but a lot of newer cars seem to keep going up in price because of all the new tech and fancy gizmos they have. It’s not that I like

Alanis! You live in Texas! You should meet up with Nakazoto from Oppo! Jalopnik did an article on his Mitsubishi Minica years ago that he restored while living in Japan for 7 years, but he has moved back to Texas now and brought a JDM Isuzu Bellett, Isuzu 117 and that little 2-stroke Minica back with him! Would make

Eh....I think the Levorg looks infinitely better. VWs just look really plain to my eyes. It’s all personal preference!

I would like to point out that an actual living human being is wanting to give you a MERCEDES for FREE....a MERCEDES. FREE. You know, some of Germany’s finest and most luxurious automobiles?

My case is made.

I always liked the shade of green on my old 2002 Subaru Impreza 2.5TS - Savannah Green Metallic:

It would most definitely provide lift! Look up how autogyros work!

Amen Jason, kudos on an excellent article! I share you love of basic, cheap, utilitarian cars and I’ve always liked the Nano! Mind you, from a safety standpoint, I would never own one if they were sold in North America, but as a piece of engineering, they are very, very clever! They remind me of a modern Indian

Jalopy is a fun indie game if you want to play a driving game that doesn’t involve wrecking anything! You get to know your car in Jalopy as you have to nurse and car for it....fun game!
