Just read the rest of the article. She wants to go into fashion law? I didn't even know that was a thing.

Ugh. She can NOT go to Liberty University. I'm from that area, and that school is a HUGE joke. They continually churn out graduates with a fifth grade reading level, and everyone knows they're so batshit crazy none of them can get a job.
It's actually really worthwhile. I ended up not staying a teacher, because student teaching didn't prepare me for the politics, and general awfulness of other teachers.
I was student teaching, and any outside job was seen as "taking time and effort away from the students'. Honestly, student teaching was rough. Full time job (we had to work the same schedule as our teachers), full time student (four nights of classes a week), and we were expected to be working on our thesis papers as…
And that's great, but some programs don't allow that. If you want to be a teacher you have to student teach. It's a full time job that you have to pay to work, and you can't become a teacher without doing it. Same with a lot of other jobs (like medical residencies).
tuition is also climbing. I was a freshman in 2001. Back then, you could comfortably pay your tuition by working and going to school.
1. As many people have noted it's not a mental illness, it's a developmental disorder.
I dated an asshat in my early college years and broke off the relationship when he started abusing me.
I'm preparing to do long distance for the first time ever. I'm a complete bundle of nerves about it, but this article did help cover some of the positives I hadn't really thought about.
why is the blue one half the price of the pink one?
Yeah. Probably. I'm a rape survivor with PTSD.
no, see. I already know I will decide that. Because I have.
Eh. I expect discussion. There's intellectual discussion and then there's "But it's surgery! I don't know if you knew that...surgery! and it's not NATURAL!"
Oh yeah, totally. I don't think they remember me at all. But it takes me a LONG time to let an intimate partner down there. I have some fairly legit hangups about being touched and/or looked at and realizing they're looking at me in the same way they would look at any other medical thing doesn't change it. It's not…
It's amazing how few comments it took for everyone to prove my point.
You do you is one of my favorite phrases of all time. Especially with stuff like this, we all are going to have our hang-ups, legitimate concerns, and generally know our bodies better than others.
Eh, my mom had to have a c-section for me AND my sister. So, I've been prepped for that since I knew where babies came from. Every time someone tells me about natural birth they add another layer to the horror. I think I knew I would never have a natural birth when someone told me what vaginal mesh was used for. …
Am I the only person who actually WANTS a c-section? Natural birth sounds absolutely awful, and the people who talk about how great it is ARE THE ONES MAKING ME BELIEVE IT'S AWFUL.
Such good advice we should cross stitch it on a pillow.
Feminist Vigilante Gangs y'all. I think I just found my calling through bathroom graffiti. Who is with me?
