Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if that was where he was going. All I could think about was this song. I love 90s and earlier country and it was like, him and Tim McGraw that I agreed with politically, so I was pretty excited when he un-retired like he promised he would a long time ago.

He's an Obama supporter who's performed at gay rights marches and written songs about what the world would be like if there wasn't any bigotry or poverty. And he's pretty much always been public about that sort of thing, even back when I was a kid and he was at the height of his career.

Solid point. I hadn't thought about it. In the wake of suddenly feeling allowed to love Garth, I will now post "The Thunder Rolls", my secret not so secret favorite country karaoke jam...

I imagine that some pro Darren Wilson fans are probably also Garth Brooks fans. This sends a pretty powerful message.

My secret weapon is an "upset stomach" in case I need to hang out in the bathroom for 20 minutes and play games on my phone.

For real, do you guys even need to ask?

Never forget:

They are the only couple in the world that could wear matching Christmas sweaters and not make me nauseous. Dammit they're so charming.

Some in the crowd reportedly tried to stop others from taking part in vandalism and other violence.

It's like George Zimmerman all over again. That's the injury? Fuck me.

Don't forgot the chance to "profit" from it.

I said in the Gawker thread I wouldn't watch but I couldn't help myself. Now I wish I had stuck to my original intent. That press conference by McCulloch was one of the most condescending, maddening things I've seen/heard in a long time. I knew an indictment wasn't coming, but this DA is infuriating and unqualified

Last year, when George Zimmerman got away with it, I could not fucking believe it.

Oh. Really.

Is this a surprise? We all know it's acceptable for white people to lynch black people since 2000's America decided that 1945 was a good year for race relations.

I can't handle this. Currently screaming into my pillow.

"Mike Brown deserved to be murdered in cold blood. Black eyewitnesses and media outlets can't be trusted, but white cops and the system that protects them deserve ALL your trust."- Bob McCulloch

(I might be paraphrasing)

And the most condescending press conference possible.

Judging from the ridiculous stories we see every day, it's impossible.
