The Jug was a beast. But it would be ridiculously inefficient with that sturdy ass radial engine. The concern is focused far more on missiles than on quad barrel AA machine guns. You need speed, but only up to a certain extent (0.8 Mach). And modern turboprops and turbofans are more efficient and economical engines.
