I don’t see where he said he carries on a college campus against their wishes, only that he carries. Also, he stated that he would not go looking for the shooter. He would only engage them as a defensive measure. That’s not what I would call ‘commando behavior’.

Well, considering the attacker didnt have a gun- the attacks were with a knife and with his car- but the policeman who shot him did have a gun, I’d say the gun REALLY helped.
