I got pulled out of the line at a checkpoint even though I hadn't been drinking and failed the follow the finger test.

The one announcer sounds like Michael Palin and keeps me from focusing on the video.
To an extent that's because most F1 coverage written in English is, well, English and they can be bigger homers than a cheesehead who was born and raised under the bleachers at Lambeau Field.
So if you want to look at output then the F1 system has an output of 120kw, which is about 160bhp. The Toyota system is around 350kw/470bhp I haven't been able to find anything specific on the Audi or Porsche quickly but Porsche is in the same 6MJ class so is probably about the same.
The .4MJ was for the previous kenetic energy only system, with the current ERS it's 4MJ (2MJ from each MGU). While there is a limit to how much harvested energy can be stored and reused per lap, there is no limit to how much energy can be sent directly from the MGU-H to the MGU-K bypassing the the rest of the system.
I love Kimi but young (in an F1 sense) he's not. If McLaren hadn't retained Button, Kimi would've been the oldest driver on the grid next year.
And Lotus/Proton hasn't even sponsored them for close to two years.
It won't effect the ability to see so much as it just takes time to used to turning in earlier than your brain wants you to. I have that problem when I haven't driven my XJ6 in a while, but it's not as extreme as this.
I'm 150 lbs and weigh more than an F1 driver does. Section 5.4.1 of the F1 technical regs say that the PU must weigh no less than 145kg. That includes the MGU's which are attached to the ICE but not the battery. The battery, or Energy Store (ES), weighs no less than 20kg and not more than 25kg.
A front or front/mid engine has to sit lower so the driver can see over it. Rear or rear/mid can sit a little higher to give room for air to flow under the car although they still try to get it as low as possible for CG reasons.
Because he's French and saying something negative about the U.S.
The theory in the story is that unknown "bad guys" took control of the plane remotely and aimed it toward a U.S. airbase and the Air Force shot it down in defense.
A good video interview (kinda long though) with the Doc here. He admits that the biggest thing that he never picked up from Dr. Sid was to be tactful and politic with the powers that be which is probably what did his FIA gig in.
Totally agree with you here, and I'm older than most of those classic liveries you're talking about. Then I'm also a graphic artist who doesn't understand why there's so little creativity these days.
They ousted the chief chassis, engine, strategy, and tire guys so I think they're awae.
Sim testing mat be done away from the races, but it will be done in Maranello. Which happens to be a long way away from North America.
