Happy birthday!
Happy birthday!
You are painfully homering the Sharks in every god damn article pertaining to them. You do not have the ability to be impartial and because of that your opinion means nothing.
All 4 referees who officiated game 3 are done for the 2019 playoffs. Looks like the league also thinks that was a hand pass.
Typically when the puck flies up in the air like this, it is the linesmen’s responsibility to keep eyes on the puck while the low referee keeps eyes on the players for penalties. The high referee can either watch the puck or bodies, depends on what is going on.
Have you ever officiated a hockey game?
His intent was to move the puck to his teammate by way of his hand. Even though it may have not hit his actual hand, he still changed the direction of the puck thus changing the outcome of the play. Don’t get stuck on the words in the rule book too much. Spirt of the law vs. the letter of the law. You have to know how…
Same possession rule applies to Meir.
Well established practice eh? Referees at high levels do not try and even the game out with penalty calls.
Same with the players. Hearing Karlsson dance around Pierre’s question, “Did you think the winning goal was a hand pass?” was sickening. Just be honest and say you saw a hand pass, but you played until you heard the whistle, like you are taught from day 1.
Just trying to clear the air on the possession rule. The puck glancing off of a Blues player does not nullify the hand pass. Possession and control of the puck is needed by a Blues player is needed to waive the hand pass.
This is so dumb. All of it.
I wish I could like this more.
Or not having an option to call a goal back that went out of play and hit the netting
I’m sure Cooper would go to the funeral of one of his players
Fuck Tortorella. Didn’t go through the hand shake line.
Exactly! So how was that goal still allowed?
Spirit of the law vs. letter of the law.
Sorry for insulting your beer league team. I’m a college/minor pro ref. The USA hockey rule book is very different (as it should be) than the NHL rule book. These guys are pro’s and the rules are different.
He assumed McNabb knew how to play defense. Wrong assumption.
I totally agree with you and would go even further to say that in the regular season that’s a 2 minute penalty all day, but in game seven of the playoffs... I might be eating my whistle there. Unfortunate what happened to Pavelski, but hockey is a contact sport.
