“I don’t know who she is” is the best and funniest reply you could have made. Marnell is kind of a real-life character from GIRLS.
I’m in a long, difficult process of coming to terms with the fact that the majority of my antipathy towards Blake Bortles is just because he has a goofy name.
It’s helping that I’m able to tell myself that if Blake Bortles can do well in the playoffs, maybe Nick Foles can too.
That’s...what is that?? I can’t really believe that was an actual play in an NFL game. It looks so Benny Hill.
Why? Why, you ask?
BECAUSE OF THE ANTHEM PROTESTS, THAT’S WHY.
Hello! I am apparently the only person on the eastern seaboard, presuming you live elsewhere, who enjoyed The Ladykillers. I’ve even watched it a second time. All my friends who claim to like Cohen Bros films didn’t like it. I don’t know what their problem is.
Born that way, most of’em.
My wife left me because of the anthem protests! THANKS, OBAMA.
Sort of a “WHOA IF TRUE” strategy. Then report on the “WHOA” part.
Honestly, that’s the cri de coeur of the entire Paul Ryan wealth-sucker strain of the GOP. Like, they REALLY don’t get it.
Correll Buckhalter sounds like he’s from Battlestar Galactica. Bart STarr, Tron LaFavor, and esp Blaine Gabbert sound very star-warsy to me. I thing Bortles are some kind of too-cute alien species.
Jimmy Garropolo sounds like a character from Saturday Night Fever.
I’m a fair way down the comments so far, and no-one’s mentioned Deuce Staley, X-wing pilot promoted to officer.
Even the main ST leads work:
Luke Skywalker - QB
Han Solo - wideout
Tuskan Raider - corner
Princess Leia - DL
omg I can’t believe how much that looks like a list of NFL player names. You’re right, it totally works either way round.
More often he threatens to sue them when they get even the tiniest fact right.
How about some lawsuit for fraud? If the network claims it is journalism, and you can identify some instances where the network produced headlines that are completely contrary to fact. If they claim their product is journalism and you can prove they produced stories without actually, you know, doing journalism.
I know…
I agree. Many of the people who mean most to me require or have needed medication. A lot of them have expressed feelings of guilt or inadequacy about it, which I’ve felt was understandable but unnecessary. Better living through chemistry... depression, ADD, anxiety, these are terrible to try to get through life with,…
Or is the OP saying something like, “It’s sad we have so many fires?”
So, is this, like, right-wing snark? Is part of the joke that B.M. and his audience are in on that the fauxness of the actual point and image vs. any kind of reality are explicit? That none of his audience belive the picture is actually of a stadium half-empty due to political issues? It’s basically just them goofing…
If he can maintain this level of play, he can establish himself as semi-elite.
