I seriously thought it was a callback to that scene, not the exact same one with some retconning. Still having trouble buying it was the same exact moment and not a “here we are, six years later, doing this again” kind of thing. I agree.  One thing I’ve really liked about the rebooted continuity is, for the most part, the names of species, planets, languages were all ported over. Twi’leks are still Twi’leks from Ryloth, with lekku and so forth. The world building was still baked in.

i doubt it would be the YV as here is no mention, nor is there any sight of them in the sequel series...i could see it being a one off similar to the stories in KOTOR which would be a one and done type situation...what i DO hope is that they hand the reins to Filoni with this and have Rey end up with Ahsoka and train…
